Canada Books Online:Canada Books Online was created in 2005
to meet the needs of independent authors and speciality publishing companies.
It is focussed primarily on authors, providing them with a
professional-looking place to show their works. Additionally, Canada Books
Online structures its commission schedule as a small percentage of the selling
price and thus ensures that authors receive the maximum payment for their work.
There are horror stories of authors and speciality publishers who have
been "stiffed" by the major booksellers (both online and "bricks and mortar"
stores). Do you realize that a book by an independent author has a 1 in 500 chance of
being listed by a "traditional" online retailer and 1 in 1000 chance of being
listed in the computers of a mega-bookstore. If they do get listed and
sales are made, the author generally receives less than 10% of
the selling price and can spend 2-3 years waiting to be paid.

works? Here is what you do.

info@canadabooksonline.com. Send us an email with your name, address,
phone number, title of your book, ISBN number, genre (up to three based on
categories on our site), recommended selling price and a synopsis. If your book
matches our criteria, we will email back with the good news. Then send us
5 copies of your book on consignment (see below for form). We charge
30% of the selling price of the works and make payments quarterly for books
sold.
Readers, do your best to support Canadian independent authors. Check
out their works and buy their books. You will not be disappointed.

The Consignee accepts the item
for one (1) year and lists the items for sale at the Suggested
Retail Price (SRP) on its web site at
www.canadabooksonline.com. The SRP
may only be changed with the agreement of the Consigner.
Payment for unit sales is made quarterly, by check, to
the Consigner by the Consignee. In order for
items to be carried by Consignee, the Consigner must agree to a
minimum of 5 units of each item to be placed on consignment, in
order to assure rapid delivery turnaround by Consignee.
Shipping charges incurred by Consigners to send consignment
books to Canada Books Online are the responsibility of the
Consigner. Should the Consigner, for any reason, wish to
have Canada Books Online return unsold books to them, the cost
for shipping will be the responsibility of the Consigner.
